Frequently asked questions

Are our staff mandated reporters?

Staff of licensed programs are generally mandated reporters under Minnesota law. We train them on what that means and how to report.

Where are reports of vulnerable adult maltreatment made?

In Minnesota, reports of suspected maltreatment of a vulnerable adult are made to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC). Reports involving children go to the appropriate county or tribal agency or law enforcement.

Do we need an internal review after a report?

Licensing rules generally require internal review processes. We help you set one up and document it.
